SUB-URB (ongoing)
Support for the sustainable and inclusive growth of the Maputo SUB-URBan areas 

General objective
Improve the living conditions of the inhabitants of the sub-urban and informal areas of Maputo by promoting sustainable and inclusive development.
 
Specific objective
Improve the environmental, domestic and urban conditions in the neighborhoods of George Dimitrov, Xipamanine, Chamanculo C, Maxaquene C e Polana Caniço A, through innovative green practices of social inclusion.

Activities 
Within the project Hydroaid carry out the following activities:

• Establishment  of a technical unit made up of officials from the Department of Water and Rehabilitation,  the National Institute of Disaster Management and the Directorate for Education and Human Development, for adoption of the Community Risk Assessment (CRA) methodology for the participatory evaluation of environmental and public health risks in urban areas
• Disclosure of the CRA methodology manual, integrating good practices and lessons learned, at the National Technical Council of Natural Disasters, at the National Institute of Disaster Management and the HydroAid web community
• Preparation and delivery of an e-learning module addressing the CRA methodology manual for the CMM technical unit
