Hydroaid - Water for Development Management Institute is a non profit Association consisting of permanent members which contribute to development process in the field of water resources management. Hydroaid operates, thanks the support and contribution of its members, on the basis of a common platform, with a highly integrated profile and approach for different level of governance: from local and regional to national and international
Since 2001 the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation supports Hydroaid's international activities and participates in the Steering Committee.

Hydroaid was established in 2001 in Turin, Italy, with the aim of enhancing capacity development skills, fostering sustainable development and encouraging the transfer, as well as the sharing, of knowledge among professionals, managers, technicians, experts and researchers working in the field of water resources management at local, national and international levels.
The main institutional bodies of Hydroaid include the Assembly, the Board of Directors, the Steering Committee and the Scientific Committee.
Hydroaid offers a programme of training activities with the aim of providing participants from developing and emerging countries with a sound knowledge in the field of water resources management. During almost twenty years of activity and thanks to its specific and well-tested experience, Hydroaid has earned the international reputation as a leading provider in the field of training of water resources management, encompassing all specific related issues such as wastewater, planning, governance, drainage water regulation, water supply, climate change and solid waste.
In 2011 Hydroaid was granted the special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC), an important recognition of the contribution given in the field of training and education of water management issues. As a consultative member, Hydroaid participates in periodical consultations on specific topics related to development.

TRANSPARENT ADMINISTRATION
Legislative Decree 14/03/2013, n. 33 "Reorganization of the regulations concerning the obligations of publicity, transparency and dissemination of information", published in the Official Gazette of the Italian Republic 5 April 2013, n. 80 and effective from 20 April 2013, intends to make information regarding the organization and activities of public administrations accessible, with the aim of encouraging widespread forms of control over the pursuit of institutional functions and the use of public resources. STAFF
Hydroaid has a permanent staff actively working in its HQ in Turin, as well as number of experts who contribute to develop and implement different training projects and other activities on a non-permanent basis.
