Water is for everyone, do not eat too much
The Museo del Risparmio, in collaboration with Regione Piemonte, Hydroaid and Istituto per l’Ambiente e l'Educazione Scholé Futuro Onlus – Il Pianeta Azzurro, organized the first edition of an awareness event addressed to high school students on the burninig issue of water saving.
The event fell within the framework of the project “Una Buona Occasione”, of Regione Piemonte, which focus on the fight against food waste. More than eighty students from three high schools of the neighboring cities of Turin took part to the event. They were involved in several activities aiming at deepening the knowledge about water comsumption related issues. The session included the music video " ACQUA”, by the Italian singer Rayden, and "silent" slides on which the students left their impressions, sensations, emotions. Eventually they took part in a quiz from the educational “Water is ofer everyone, do not eat too much - L’acqua è di tutti, non mangiamone troppa”. The quiz dealt with several topics such as the source of water, the climate change, the variation of the hydrological cycle, water distribution in the world, water scarcity, water consumption, water footprint and food choices. The session concluded with the cartoon “Water Hunters” (a short comics made by Ibrido, an animation studio recently born in Turin) followed by the presentation of the results of the statistical survey “Young People & Water” conducted by the University of Turin and the presentation of the United Nations "International Decade for Action: Water for Sustainable Development 2018-2028".
