RIO+20 - United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development

The discussion on cooperation approached and integrated resource management started at the VI World Water Forum (Marseille, 2012) continued at Rio+20 with a side-event organized by Hydroaid with the aim of facilitating a productive dialogue among international organizations, national governments and scientific institutes. The participants discussed key development cooperation issues and challenges in their experiences. While offering the opportunity for sharing relevant Italian and Brazilian development strategies, the outcomes of the discussion provided a framework for future decision making as well as for promoting multi-objectives and integrated approaches in development cooperation.
