The 17th edition of the Environmental Film Festival will be held in Turin from May 31st to June 5th 2014. Since its debut in 1998, this is a key event for the environmental awareness raising as it presents outstanding environmental films in a year-round program of initiatives that promote cinema and green education.
Founded and directed by Gaetano Capizzi, the Festival has been jointly organized with the National Museum of Cinema – Maria Adriana Prolo Foundation since 2006. CinemAmbiente is also a member of the Green Film Network, which unites major international environmental film festival. The program of the Festival includes over 100 selected films screened in national and international competition categories, as well as presentations, debates, exhibitions and events in and around the city of Turin. Over the years, CinemAmbiente has consolidated its role in the international scene by promoting model actions in support of sustainability such as the full compensation of its CO2 emissions, the Ecolabel and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certifications, as well as the compliance to the Agenda 21 guidelines in the purchase of eco-materials. More details are available on the official CinemAmbiente website and in the program below.
